Position Summary:
We are seeking a part-time contract maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) physician (about 10 hours per week) to join Miteras growing team. This is a remote position with flexible scheduling. Liability insurance is provided.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct medical records reviews for gestational carrier candidates
• Conduct telehealth appointments with gestational carrier candidates or other patients and gather health and pregnancy history, for screening purposes
• Ensure that patients and/or family understand implications and risks for their pregnancies
• Communicate this information to the patient, intended parents and referring clinician, if required
• Maintain case documentation and prepare detailed summary letters for referring clinicians and partners
• Maintain knowledge of latest relevant medical/scientific literature and standard of care guidelines and effectively communicate this knowledge across the organization and externally to patients and referring providers
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Existing licensure in multiple states preferred
• 2+ years of experience clinical experience post-fellowship preferred
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• Detail-oriented
• Competent with videoconferencing modalities and electronic medical record keeping
