POSITION: Medical Billing - A/R & Follow-Up Rep, Full-Time (work-from-home)

POSITION OVERVIEW: The core tasks for this work-from-home opportunity include:
• Researching, resolving, and re-billing unpaid or partially paid medical charges that are on the AR
• Utilizing spreadsheets and technology to prioritize and resolve charges in-bulk vs. individually
• Meeting or exceeding productivity metrics for performance standards and target goals per account
• Serving as key contact with clients for day-to-day tactical interactions regarding billing issues
• Notifying Managers of any systemic issues that impede efficient and effective payment of claims
• Utilizing CCI edits, CPTs, ICD-10s, modifiers, HCPS, and other coding tools and terms
• Following all ClaimCare policies/procedures, governmental regulations, and HIPAA standards
• Maintaining a consistent workday schedule (8:00am 5:00pm CST, with lunch hour)
• Helping with overtime requests (occasionally needed).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least 3 years direct experience of resolving unpaid or underpaid charges (more years of experience is a plus)
• Depth of knowledge with all Payer types (Commercials, Medicare, Medicaid, and W/C, etc)
• Direct experience in various billing systems, coupled with MS Office Suite tools
SKILLS, APTITUDES, and CHARACTERISTICS:
• Head-down hard worker, with a chin-up good attitude
• Prioritizes well and consistently achieves excellent results under pressure
• Team player who can work well independently, as well as with team structures
• Demonstrates excellent judgement when navigating complex and sensitive situations
• Good problem-solver and effective communications (both verbal and written skills)
• Strong mathematical and technology aptitudes
• Works effectively (do the right tasks) and efficiently (do the tasks right).
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA regulations
• Works accurately and welcomes detailed work
LOCATION & EQUIPMENT: This is a remote / work-from-home opportunity. ClaimCare has Employees from multiple states all across the U.S. The computer technology is provided by ClaimCare, and the Employee provides high-speed internet & router connection into their home, plus 2 monitors, and a keyboard.
