About the Role:

Are you an experienced Special Education Teacher with an ESL certification looking for a flexible, remote opportunity to impact students across Michigan? We are seeking a dedicated and innovative special education teacher to join our virtual team. You’ll provide individualized instruction and support to K-12 students, helping them thrive in an online learning environment while working from home. As a 1099 contractor, you’ll have the freedom to set your own schedule and work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
• A licensed EL teacher will support 9 EL scholars.
• Provide virtual instruction to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that IEP goals are met.
• Attending EL meetings biweekly, building-based ILP meetings, documenting services, and creating/maintaining ILPs.
• Conduct virtual assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for growth.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to promote success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure a supportive learning environment for all students.
• Stay up-to-date on special education regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Active Michigan Special Education teaching certification (required).
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
• Prior experience working in a virtual setting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, including IDEA and 504 plans.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.

Compensation:
• Competitive hourly pay (1099 contractor position).
