The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ) is actively seeking an accomplished Senior Business/Data Analyst to join our Permit Transformation Program team on a one-year contract basis. This remote position presents a unique opportunity to engage in impactful data analysis projects while collaborating with a team committed to advancing environmental quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage data analysis initiatives across the DEQ enterprise.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and standardize an enterprise data model that aligns with the organizations business and technical objectives.
• Provide expert analysis and support to data analysts, architects, and application developers to enhance data management processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in technologies including Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS.
Required Skills
• Proficiency in Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Dataverse and Azure Data Factory.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to mentor and provide guidance to other data professionals.
• Familiarity with enterprise data modeling and management practices.
Qualifications
• A minimum of five years of experience in data analysis or related fields.
• Proven expertise in database management systems and enterprise data modeling.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant discipline is required.
